“How do I get past this?”

The pain you can’t keep outrunning

Maybe your mind will not shut off. Maybe your body feels braced all the time. Maybe relationships feel harder than they should. Maybe you are high-functioning on the outside and quietly unraveling in private.

Trauma does not always look dramatic from the outside. It can look like anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, shutdown, irritability, people-pleasing, sleep disruption, grief that will not move, or a constant sense that your nervous system never fully settles.

If you have tried to think your way through it and still feel stuck, the issue may not be a lack of insight. It may be that your system needs a different kind of care.

With therapy, we help you find the relief you need to move forward.

Our Therapy Services

Trauma care tailored to the person in front of us

We do not believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Our work is integrative, personalized, and grounded in understanding what shaped your symptoms in the first place—so care can be matched to your history, goals, nervous system, and capacity.

Individual Therapy

Trauma-informed therapy for adults navigating anxiety, burnout, grief, dissociation, relationship pain, and patterns that keep repeating. This is care that looks beneath the surface, not just at symptom management.

How do I know if I need Therapy?

You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from trauma therapy. Often, the signs are persistent enough to shape your life, but familiar enough that you start calling them normal.

Feelings associated with trauma:

We help you understand why you are feeling the way you are, what may be driving those patterns, and what healing can look like from here.

Why choose Elevare?

Because trauma care should be both deeply human and clinically precise

  • Working through trauma can feel vulnerable. The therapy itself should not add more confusion, urgency, or overwhelm. At Elevare, we aim to create a space that is safe, grounded, and carefully matched to you.

  • We are known for getting to the root of what is happening, building customized treatment plans, and using an integrative approach when surface-level strategies are not enough. That means we may draw from EMDR, DBR, Neurofeedback, somatic therapies, attachment-informed work, and other modalities when clinically appropriate.
  • We move at a pace your system can handle. We stay warm without becoming vague. We stay precise without losing the human being in front of us.

  • This is care designed to help you understand yourself more clearly, feel more regulated in your body, and show up in your life with more steadiness, freedom, and choice.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does trauma therapy take?

The length of therapy depends on several complex factors. Thus, it is hard to determine the number of sessions that may be required. Once we understand your history and therapeutic goals, we may be able to provide a better estimation of how many therapy sessions may be required. Generally, we suggest between 10 and 20 sessions to experience some relief and peace.

Yes. Therapy is confidential, with standard legal and ethical exceptions. These can include serious safety concerns, child protection reporting, court orders or subpoenas, required professional reporting, and limited clinical consultation or supervision in support of your care. These limits are reviewed at the beginning of therapy so you know what to expect.

Our clinic was created by a founder who has over 20 years experience in trauma and psychotherapy. Quality care is held in high regard. We base our assessment and treatment skills on the evidence based modalities that embrace neurobiology and the autonomic nervous system. We continue to train and refine our knowledge and clinical skills to serve you with the most up to date practices.

Addiction and trauma often intersect as addiction is a flight response from emotional pain. We first have to work at reducing and managing the addiction before any trauma processing can occur.

Trauma occurs when you have been through distressing events and the disturbance remains within your mind or body. We are not able to work naturally through the experiences as there is shock and disturbance that is beyond how we normally regulate our emotions and physiologically modulate our body. Trauma can occur at any age and create disturbances in different ways through negative thoughts of self. For instance, thinking we didn’t do enough, it’s our fault or we are not worthy or love. Trauma often impacts our body leaving as with unexplained body aches or auto immune sensitivities. Emotionally we can also become hypervigilant, feel depleted or fluctuate between the two.

All of our team members are licensed to offer therapy in Ontario. Some of our therapists can also offer online sessions in British Columbia. Please see our team bios to see where they can practice.
